The funds from this grant will allow enough Afro-Cuban drums to be purchased for each student in a class to set up a drum circle for music classes. A drum circle will facilitate, solidify, and differentiate the understanding and performing of rhythmic concepts, improvisation, and composition through collaborative learning. It will also allow students to explore multicultural perspectives in music.
