Part II: Grant proposal |
|
Summary: |
The VO Robotic grant would provide coding robotics to the already existing makerspace which will enable the students to use their creativity and learn how to code at the same time. Coding is a language that the students will need to use as they get older and the maker space provides an opportunity for the students to learn the language in a fun non threatening environment. The coding robotics are also geared towards students particular age group. For example, Osmo Jam is perfect for students in grades third to fifth where the Go Robot mouse is perfect for grades kindergarten through second. It excites me to think the students of Vinson Owen will explore various robotics and learn coding at the same time at an early age. When they get to middle school and are asked to do more with computer design they will not be intimidated. |
