Current curriculum demands have squeezed out time dedicated to the pursuit of guided, scaffolded, and constructive play because of the high premiums on test scores, reading levels, and detailed record keeping.
Our project aims to infuse the kindergarten classrooms with purposeful, irresistible, high quality play equipment that will excite, stimulate, and engage our kindergarten students in meaningful play that research tells us is essential to providing an optimal educational experience for our 5 and 6 year olds.
