Summary: Lexia Reading is educational software that supports reading skills development in students at all levels of ability. Flexi Licensing, both efficient and cost effective, provides Lexia’s three reading programs: Early Reading, Pre-K – Gr. 1, Primary Reading, K- Gr. 3, and Strategies for Older Students, Gr. 1-8. Lexia’s features include: web-enabled technology and hosting services, enhanced progress monitoring tools which enable teachers to monitor individual, class, school and district wide progress. On site teacher training sessions are provided as well as access to online training materials. Teachers may also access lessons and materials for use with students in the classroom. Used in conjunction with whole-class and small group instruction, and independent reading practice, Lexia can be a key component of our literacy program. Students using Lexia programs will be provided with a scaffolded, individualized practice on the skills they may struggle to learn in a group setting. Lexia Reading’s automatic branching feature keeps track of progress and time on task, and will repeat exercises until each skill is mastered. Students get the practice and affirmation they need.
