This service learning project is designed to deepen students' comprehension of the issues of racisim and classism in Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird and Richard Wrights' Black Boy and to further their understanding of how these issues manifest themselves in today's world. Students in WHS 9th grade honors classes will visit Boston English High School classrooms. They will exchange written work with those students and welcome the English High students to WHS. |
