Summary: |
I have been invited to present a workshop at the 2011 NCSS Annual Conference in Washington, DC. I will be presenting along with several other New England teachers on the topic of teaching about Islam and Africa in the high school classroom, a subject we studied as part of a Fulbright study group in Egypt and Tanzania in July-August 2010. The National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) is the premier association for Social Studies educators in the United States and its annual conference draws together more than 4,000 peers from across the country and around the world to share he most current knowledge, ideas, research, and expertise in social studies education. |
