The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum proposes a workshop for English teachers from
Winchester Public Schools, to take place at the Gardner Museum in Boston, MA.
The goals of the workshop will be training teachers to use Visual Thinking Strategies
(VTS) to facilitate discussions with students about visual art in their classrooms. VTS is
proven to develop students' critical thinking and communication skills, which transfer to
reading and writing.
