Summary: |
Students in the Connections program will benefit from functional hands-on activities to help them develop the skills they need in order to participate in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). As occupational therapy providers, we have a unique knowledge base that makes us well-equipped to consider the sensory, musculoskeletal, praxis, fine motor, and visual motor/perceptual demands of these tasks. Through the use of activity analysis and specialized adaptations, occupational therapy providers are able to help students gain independence in meaningful ways. This program will assist students in becoming more independent, confident, socially successful, and an active member of the community. |
