I am starting a club (named “the Computer & Electronics Club”) centered around the education of computer hardware and its electrical components to interested students. I believe that software programming is an essential skill for the future but that understanding the basics of how a computer works on a hardware level is crucial in maximizing these software skills.
The Computer Electronics Club would allow students to learn about the basic hardware components of a computer (i.e. resistors, transistors, etc.) and build up to a more advanced level of understanding (i.e. cpu, memory, integrated circuits, etc.). In this club, students will complete hands-on activities with the basic building blocks of computers to build this understanding. |
