Muraco proposes to build a school garden. We expect this project will reinforce the common core
tenets to “read like a detective and write like a journalist” by providing a resource that will require research and investigation (non-fiction) and opportunities for expository writing.
Mission: To create an organic garden as a foundational resource for teachers to complement the common core and encourage the skills of observation, team-work, planning, design and maintenance. A school-wide garden will provide teachers with a natural extension to their classroom curriculum. |
