| Summary: |
This project request comprises two technological aids for assessing comprehension of the curriculum and for promoting interactivity in the acquisition of knowledge and skills. The first aid is a multi-year license for Raz-Kids, an online leveled reading library in which students log on to access books and quizzes selected by their teachers. The second aid is an instant response clicker system that will allow teachers to assess student performance and adjust instruction accordingly. Both tools will result in more accurate assessment of student performance and allow for a curriculum that can be tailored to the needs of individual students. The current project proposes the introduction of these aids in two of the third grade classes at Muraco Elementary School and could eventually extend to include the rest of the school.
