Part II: Grant proposal

Summary: * In this rapidly evolving world of media and content technology, it’s important for the Winchester Public Schools and its library professionals, to stay abreast of the most current products, services and trends. There are very few opportunities where all the technologies and products are presented to reflect the needs of a school library. The American Association of School Librarians event in Hartford is a unique and convenient opportunity for me to be exposed to a wide variety of vendor services in an environment targeted to the school district’s needs. In addition, the traditional values of attending these events remain including the interaction with peers, attending lectures outlining best practices of school districts across the country and meeting authors and experts in the field of library science. I am sure that the school district will appreciate WFEE’s continued support to understand and adapt to these new technologies. Attending this event will aid in that effort.
