The idea behind “Beyond the textbook: teaching to the individual student” is designed for students who learn best using a multisensory approach. The program would require 5 IPAD’s as well as “application” money to teach a variety of academic and life skills subjects. I teach 17 students in grades 6-8 with a wide range of disabilities. Although all these students are unique and have different learning styles they could all benefit in some way from the use of an IPAD. The IPAD’s would be used on a daily basis, many times a day. IPAD’s can be used with an individual student, small groups, or whole class when connected to a TV or projection screen. |
