Part II: Grant proposal |
|
Summary: |
In the large umbrella of art, there art many things that
art teachers have at their disposal and can teach students about. One of the things however that most of us are not able to expose students to is glass. Glass is unique in the sense that it transforms and changes through it's environment. My idea is to talk to students about renown glass artist Dale Chihuly and to have someone come into the classroom that is a glass expert
to show them how to create a glass mosaic that we can fuse using our kiln. This lesson also give me a last shot at "hooking-in" my students into the visual arts before they leave my classroom as after this year, art becomes an elective. |
