Summary: |
Some kindergarten students need extra support while sitting in circle time; they do not have the postural control to manage their bodies unsupported. If a child is working to maintain their bodies, it makes it difficult to attend to the academic tasks. Other seating options will provide for children to move and shift their bodies in order to attend and focus on classroom instruction. The variety of seating options will allow for developing bodies to have the opportunity to work in multiple postures to attend to academic tasks. These tools will allow them to be included with the class, either on the floor or at the tables. rather than sitting in a chair off to the side. The flexible seating options will offer stability and support for students to attend and learn.
