Applicant and Project Information   Title of project: NCSS Annual Conference: Dandelion Project Presentation and Servi Project manager: Margaret Harvey School: High School Curriculum: Social studies   Part II: Grant proposal   Summary: We would like to attend the National Council for the Social Studies Conference in Denver in November and present a workshop on service learning experiences at Winchester High School, with a particular focus on the Dandelion Project. The theme of the conference is Vistas, Visions and Voices. We have applied to be presenters at this conference and plan to share with participants at the conference what this service learning experience has meant to students and staff members at Winchester High School. In addition, we hope to attend additional workshops within any of the subtheme groups of Human Rights Past and Present, Global Citizenship, and, Globalization and Economic Interdependence to deepen our understanding of the importance of globalization in the 21st century.
