This grant provides an opportunity for the Lynch Integrated PreSchool to bring in a music therapist from the Winchester Community Music School. Based on the established theories of music therapy, the music therapist will develop sessions involving teachers, staff and students to successfully promote expressive and receptive communication skills, develop fine and gross motor coordination, improve attention and motivation for learning, and provide a healthy outlet for emotions through active music making experiences. |
