Part II: Grant proposal |
|
Summary: |
A picture is worth a thousand words. Document cameras, when paired with a projector, can turn any classroom object into an enlarged photo that an entire classroom can view together. Equipping each of the eighteen second grade teachers across the district with document readers would expand the opportunity for learning in all curriculum areas and would extend the benefits of existing LCD technology. Ten of the second grade classrooms are already equipped with LCD projectors so the purchase of an additional eight mounted LCD projectors would provide each second grade classroom with the necessary equipment. This innovative technology tool speaks to the observant and social nature of young learners and is one more step in moving toward 21st century classrooms. This grant has the support of the Director of Technology, the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction and the five elementary principals. |
