I request funds for nine 8 GB Apple iPads and apps for music theory instruction, music theory drill, jazz improvisation backgrounds, keyboard performance, audio recording, and digital instrument performance. The WHS music computer lab needs updating. While our music keyboards play fine our computers need to be replaced. The WHS PFA granted us one iPad this fall to test out and student feedback has been strongly positive. Student responses to our survey have helped identify the most effective apps for various curricular goals. 10 iPads represents about 25% of most of our ensembles, a solid number when offering differentiated instruction for various levels in heterogeneous groupings. |
