Bennett School: Muraco Curriculum: Special education   Part II: Grant proposal   Summary: The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Annual Convention provides the opportunity for school psychologists from around the world to gather and collaborate on how to provide the highest-quality services to our students and their families. The convention includes such opportunities as: in-depth sessions designed to teach participants specific skills (e.g., counseling techniques, specific assessment methods), research presentations (e.g., innovative practice, latest research data on a variety of topics), Participant Information Exchanges (PIEs) (round-table discussions with presenters and a small group of interested participants), and symposia presentations, just to name a few. This convention brings together leading researchers and professionals in the field. Speakers and presenters have included Dr. Ross Greene (collaborate problem-solving/behavior management), Dr. Robert Brooks (resiliency), and Dr. Russell Barkley (ADHD researcher and activist). There are a plethora of workshops and presentations some of which we want to attend include: functional behavior assessment: behavior analysis of anxiety, collaborative proactive solutions: the next generation of problem solving strategies, evidence based treatment of childhood depression and comparing symptoms of executive dysfunction, ADHD, NVLD, and Asperger�s Syndrome.
