Speaking and writing properly are keys to success in the 21st century. As English teachers, part of our job is to teach students about proper grammar usage in order to help them communicate effectively with the world at large. However, a sizeable obstacle in the way of helping kids to achieve full understanding of proper grammar is the fact that is often abstract and boring, especially to twelve year olds. We plan to pilot a program to use the SMART Board interactive whiteboard as a tool to engage students more fully in learning grammar. |
