The dome is over a decade old now and has developed many small pin holes along with a large tear along one of the seams from normal use. We are currently holding the seam together with duct tape. If the seam continues to rip, the dome will not stay inflated and we will no longer be able to use it. We would like to get a Level 2 Dome Service from Science First, the company that makes the STARLAB. The description of the services included is listed below: Inspection of dome, minor patching to cuts and tears, repair of snaps on the inflation tube and patching of larger holes above the horizon. Regluing and patching of entry tube seams.
