VO is privileged to include in its school grounds a 7.5 acre "Science Park" that includes a working garden. To date this has been a underutilized resource. With the suport of WFEE and others partners, the VO Science Park team intends to initiate, this June, a three-part project that will leverage this resource by 1)creating videos to reunite the children with nature "Natural Intelligence", 2)Using MA frameworks for science and geography units that utilize the park as an authentic setting 3)Lay a piece of the educational foundation for a new VO School that will embrace relationship between children and nature. |
