Part II: Grant proposal |
|
Summary: |
It was the American painter and printmaker Robert Motherwell who once said, “Art is much less important than life, but what a poor life without it.” Thus it is the aim of this grant to add more art and inspiration to the hallways of Ambrose School through the creation and installation of a permanent mural. This mural will be designed by artist Alex Cook (with the help of Ambrose School’s art teacher Basil El Halwagy) to represent Ambrose School’s Core Values of Sharing, Respect, Responsibility, Belonging, and Trust. While designs will be created by Alex and Basil, Ambrose students will be involved in the creation/painting of the mural. Ultimately, the goal of this mural will be to not only add artwork to the school building, but to also create public awareness, foster school spirit, and build a sense of ownership and community within Ambrose School. |
