Summary: |
Students struggle to understand concepts in the fields of genetics and evolution. Middle schoolers are still very much concrete thinkers and as such really benefit from observing or modeling concepts they are learning. It is difficult to observe genetics and evolution in the classroom. “Crazy Traits” is a kit of high quality manipulatives that allow students to test concepts and observe phenomena related to genetics and evolution. Furthermore, the kit increases student interest and involvement, therefore increasing understanding. |
