The convention includes such opportunities as: in-depth sessions designed to teach participants specific skills (e.g., counseling techniques, specific assessment methods), research presentations (e.g., innovative practice, latest research data on a variety of topics), Participant Information Exchanges (PIEs) (round-table discussions with presenters and a small group of interested participants), and symposia presentations, just to name a few. This convention brings together leading researchers and professionals in the field. Former keynote speakers and presenters have included Dr. Ross Greene (collaborate problem-solving/behavior management), Dr. Robert Brooks (resiliency), and Dr. Russell Barkley (ADHD researcher and activist).
