Students will learn diverse molecular techniques, such as DNA isolation, restriction enzyme digestion, and PCR, as well as the proper and safe use of tools and equipment utilized within biotechnology labs. Furthermore, students will consider and discuss the concepts and controversies pertinent to genetic engineering, scientific and ethical issues, and public concerns related to biotechnology.
